How it works

The product is a powder, with three variations available: cattle, poultry, and pigs. It is based on soil bacteria, carefully selected according to their decomposing ability. These microorganisms detoxify the manure and process it into a valuable organic fertiliser.

Deeper treatment

The richer microbiota produces more nutrients available to plants. This improves agrochemical properties of the compost, providing a good and stable growth for plants and improving the nutritional value and taste of crops.

Nitrogen preservation

Some of the bacteria turn organic compounds into amino acids. The transformation of ammonium into protein reduces harmful emissions and increases the nitrogen content of the compost. This makes richer fertiliser.

Acceleration

Naturally it takes too long to decompose large amounts of manure/litter – up to a year or more – due to the limited inflow of soil bacteria from the environment. The product introduces the missing microorganisms into the manure/litter, and composting takes 3-8 weeks. Hence, smaller manure pits can be used.

Enzymes

The bacteria contained in the product release a large amount of natural bioactive substances, enzymes, humic acids, amino acids and vitamins.

Pest destruction

Pest and fly larvae, weed seeds, parasites and harmful microbes, are destroyed as the manure pit heats up to a temperature of 50–60 oC.
Some of the microorganisms we use outcompete specific pathogens in getting food.

Performance comparison

Bioelements treated compost, when compared to vermicompost and ordinary compost, compost contains more nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, micronutrients. There are fewer pathogenic microbes, helminths and weed seeds.

Application Method

Waste type

Dosage

Turning

Composting time at 20 °C

Bird litter in heaps or special containers up to 5 m in depth

1 kg per 50 m³ of fresh litter or 30 kg of old litter.

It is also possible to add fresh manure once or twice to a compost heap mix it with finished compost (the proportion of the product to the compost is ½).

Once in 2 days during the first week, once in 3 during in the second week, twice during the third week.

3-4 weeks

Cattle manure in heaps up to 2.5 m in height

1 kg per 45 m³

If you want to put fresh manure on the top, ted the top a little and then add the product.

Immediately after the application (or put it in layers) and in 2-3 days

6-7 weeks

Pig manure with bedding or straw in heaps up to 2-2.5 m in height

1 kg per 50-60 m³

It is also possible to add fresh manure once or twice to a compost heap mix it with finished compost (the proportion of the product to the compost is ½).

Immediately after the application, in 2-3 days, in a week

5-6 weeks

If necessary, the dosage can be increased.

Prior to composting, it is recommended that the manure/litter should be mixed with bedding materials or other loose fillers containing carbon. The mixture should have a humidity of 60-70% (feels like a well-wrung mop). During the composting process, the substrate liquid evaporates due to heating, so it is necessary to add water into the heap to prevent it from drying.

The manure/litter should be placed in roofed premises or under a shed with a waterproof floor and stored in heaps. The product can be added in a heap while making it in layers. For ease of application the product can be dissolved in water or mixed with sand or an inert filler. The compost can be mixed in a compost turner whilst simultaneously being treated with the dissolved product from the tank of the machine. If necessary, filter the solution to prevent clogging inside the machine (insoluble components may form lumps) and pour it into the sprayer tank. The solution should be used within 8 hours. When dissolving the product, use non-chlorinated water.

The ready compost should be a homogeneous dark brown granular mass with a humidity of 30-35% and an earthy smell. The amount of the compost is 50% or less of the source material amount. The finished compost is applied to the soils in autumn or spring several weeks before seeding, followed by ploughing.
